Dr. Meaghan Datema, ND

About Me

Hello! I’m Dr. Meaghan. I am unapologetically awkward, I have read the Harry Potter books way too many times, and will always have a cup of tea with me where ever I go.

I am a firm believer in listening to people, understanding their concerns, and empowering them to reach their goals. I practice no nonsense medicine that will provide you with all the tools to achieve your goals whether big or small.

I promise to work closely with you to achieve your goals, to inspire you to create the change in your life that you are searching for, and to support you during life’s ups and downs.

I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph which is where I had my “lightbulb moment”, the moment that pushed me to into naturopathic medicine. I remember sitting in the cafeteria at lunch going through CCNM’s program and thinking “this is amazing! This is what I have been searching for.” After graduating from the University of Guelph I moved to Toronto to continue my studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. There I pursued focused training in sports medicine, nutrition, traditional chinese medicine, acupuncture, and botanical medicine. During my 12-month clinical internship I was on the Sports Medicine and Pain Management specialty shift to further my understanding of athlete health and the health challenges it presents. I also successfully completed the training to become a Certified Sport’s Nutritionist.

I am a registered Naturopathic Doctor with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

When not treating patients, I am often found running, drinking a cup (or several cups) of tea, and catching up on a bunch of my favourite podcasts.
